Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, however will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.
In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's only on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
My son told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
They have got plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
