England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The event will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
