Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to trainers developing strong views on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
With many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
